About Yohon Trotter

Yohon Trotter was born in Phoenix, Arizona in the early 80’s July 1st to Debra Holden and Tony Trotter.  Yohon Grew up mostly in a single parent home with his mother Debra Holden, sister and 3x Olympian Deedee Trotter and brother Ian Jones.  Yohon grew up below middle class in Atlanta, Ga where he and his family relocated at the age of 10.  Yohon was a sports stand out in football and basketball but fell short of scholarships due to grades and unruly conduct. Yohon begin rapping seriously after being kicked out of alternative school at Open campus in the 12th grade.  Yohon signed to Hard Nodd Records a independent record label ran by an ex neighborhood drug dealer named OG Pearl shortly after leaving school.   After years of working with Pearl and Hard Nodd Records Yohon left the label to create his own and in 2005 he released his first project Now Or Never big business.  Here we are13 years later and Yohon is just now emerging.  Over the years Yohon has released numerous projects from albums to mixtape to comedy skits.  Yohon has also worked side to side with Platinum superstars like B.O.B and Jazze Pha.  Yohon is also well known for the charity and community work he puts forth with the youth.  Yohon is a well known youth sports coach and community leader. His efforts with youth are remarkable and from the heart.  Yohon sold drugs in his past and wants to show the youth that they can take the street mentality and bring that drive to the corporate world and have major success.  Yohon’s latest single is Louis and his latest project is Trap Ambition mixtape hosted by Dj Pretty Boy Tank.
